Kura of the Future concept, 2023

A rangatahi-authored vision of what school could be, created with Te Taiwhanga Rangatahi (‘Te Tia’), a rangatahi-led design lab at The Southern Initiative.

Starting with the pātai: How might we increase the number of Māori and Pasifika rangatahi entering high-value green and tech careers? Te Tia explored the aspirations, barriers and opportunities shaping future pathways.

I worked alongside the team as a design coach, helping synthesise insights, visualise ideas and give shape to the thinking. The result was Kura of the Future—a tangible vision and set of design principles that became a north star for how education could better support rangatahi and strengthen mana motuhake.
